Brian graduated from Edinburgh Vet School in 1995 and worked in mixed practice before studying for an MBA at Nottingham Business School in 2001. He has set up and developed 5 veterinary practices from start-ups during the last 20 years and currently leads and works as a clinician in his current practice Aldeburgh Vets. Brian completed a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology, as well as General Practice certificates in Business and Professional Studies and Small Animal Medicine. He was The UK’s Petplan Vet of the Year in 2008. He is Honorary Associate Professor in Veterinary Business at Nottingham University Vet School and in July 2020 he was awarded the title Fellow of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (FRCVS) in recognition of outstanding contributions to the veterinary profession.
In 2017 Brian raised £120,000 for Brooke Animal Hospital by running 10 marathons in 10 consecutive days all across the UK and Ireland. In August 2020 Brian ran 31 marathons in 31 days from John O’Groats to Lands End to raise £10,000 for a charity called Street Vet which attends to the dogs of the homeless.

Christine Weaver

Christine joined the veterinary industry in 2002 as an on the job trained veterinary assistant. While working in primary care veterinary medicine, she graduated from the Community College of Baltimore County with her degree in veterinary technology in 2007. She moved to working in veterinary neurology in 2008, and achieved her VTS, through the Academy of Veterinary Internal Medicine Veterinary Technicians in neurology in 2012. She is also a public speaker, trainer and educator on the topics of veterinary technology and veterinary neurology and thrives on being part of a community that helps newer technicians, assistants and CSRs to grow in their veterinary careers to become veterinary professionals. In 2022, she graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with her degree in Biobehavioral Health.
Christine currently resides in Maryland with her partner, cat, and multiple saltwater creatures. Outside of Colorful CE and her speaking, training, and mentorship responsibilities, she can be found working out at a gym, mountain biking, traveling and taking every opportunity to learn for the sake of learning.
